Backstroke 02:59
Rest above the current As it draws away my thoughts Floating in the stillness Let the tension go Drift away While confusion rules below Caught in the rip, pulled out to sea Searching for an anchor Bring me back to me Fight for the surface In a storm of my own making Dragged out to deeper sea Feel the tension grow Drowning Don't know where to go Caught in the rip, pulled out to sea Searching for an anchor Bring me back to me Caught in the rip, pulled out to sea Searching for an anchor Bring me back to me

Her Smile 04:08
Her feelings drift like laughter on the air Drift farther Fade away But are still there She hides behind that smile of hers Until it cracks The corners drop And hides behind that smile of hers Until, behind locked doors She breaks Lying awake alone in empty rooms She dreams A hollow husk that Floats on faintest breeze She hides behind that smile of hers Until it cracks The corners drop And cries behind that smile of hers Until, behind locked doors She breaks
3.
Cobwebs 04:45
Sweep the cobwebs from my mind Clear the shadows out Were they always there? Are they even true? Unlocked my soul Nothing changed, I don't think Nothing gave Did I tell you anything at all? Sweep the cobwebs from my mind Clear the shadows out Were they always there? Are they even true? Is this really me? Is it all I can be? Is this really me? How would I know Does it matter, Does it matter at all? Read on the web Made a choice, I should try For a while Is this the place I want to be? Is this really me? Is it all I can be? Is this really me? How would I know Does it matter, Does it matter at all? Accidentally Intentionally It's not about me But that's not true There's always a little part of you Sweep the cobwebs from my mind (Is this really me?) Clear the shadows out (Is it all I can be?)
4.
City Lights 02:37
Met you in the dark In the corners of my soul Dancing on the ceiling Have I been here before? (Have I been here before?) The world is spinning, spinning And I keep coming back Lost in the city lights Which way to turn? Nowhere to go Have I been here before? Saw you through the fog In the corner of my eye Dancing on the ceiling Have I been here before? (Have I been here before?) Lost in the city lights Which way to turn? Nowhere to go Have I been here before? Have I been here before?

about

Created as their introduction to the world, the EP “One” marks the start of a musical journey with Something They Call Myth, laying a solid foundation for their own unique sound. Full of slow builds, layered vocals and acoustic guitar, and subtle synths, the songs feel raw yet fully immersive at the same time. Drawing on memories and conversations between friends for inspiration, the lyrical material of “One” is poignantly introspective and touching.
